Stylish women change their bag with the season, so I figured I’d do the same! :-)

I started two Floral Bags from Bags: The Modern Classics back in January, debuted one in April, and finished the second one some months after that. I even used it a bit here and there … but it didn’t really catch on. Until now!

Fall florals are a thing now, and thank goodness because I’d be using this bag even if they weren’t — now I get the benefit of a new bag *and* being on trend. Yay!

I don’t have too much to say about this bag that I didn’t say in my other post, but looking that post over I did want to share a tutorial on how I did the one piece header, so I owe you all that. It’s pretty straightforward, but sometimes it’s nice to have tutes for the little things. Oh, and isn’t the lining fabric AMAZING??? I got it at Gather Here, a local fabric store. Their prices are (much, much) higher, but sometimes it’s worth it to splurge. *wink*

Have you switched to a fall bag? Are you giving fall florals a whirl?

  1. This bag is so cute! I love how it will bring a pop of color and florals to all your fall outfits. :) Is it sad that my “bag” is a backpack that I use year-round? I blame my job and commute. And yes, the prices at Gather Here are super high, but I love that I can reliably find quality fabrics there.

    1. Thanks for the kind words! A pop of color is much needed right around now, what with our ‘three o’clock sunsets’ as my co-worker calls them.

I can’t believe you’re still using a backpack! I miss backpacks, they’re soooo good for a life on the go. I used one well into my 20s, until I finally gave in to my friends nagging me to stop using it.

Would you believe, you’re actually part of the reason I go to Gather Here a bit more often? I love the fabrics you find there. :)

  2. Hello Ebi,

Nicely done! I love the fabrics that you used, the lining fabric is so amazingly fun. :-)

I like the size too, looks large enough to carry all the very many things that I lug around.

I have never made a bag, now thanks to you, I am considering trying it.
